He throws his head back as he plucks the strings of his cello with an artfull touch. He's played and rehearsed this piece a thousand times but he loves each time he plays it even more. He's gone to a different place right now as he feels the tones his magical fingers are singing.  They dance as if independent from their master but loyally on perfect harmonic key every moment. Take me with you maestro!

Cool Fall Morning under the Rocky Montains. Strathburn (Stephen Rathburn Artist). I tried to create some mystery by the distant mountains covered with cool morning clouds that we see so often in the Rocky Mountains. Maybe because of a left over rainstorm from the night before that the mist still hangs about the mountains. As the sun comes up over the Rocky mountains the field below glows with morning sunlight. The fence in the foreground is simple and adds to the design but also with an open broken down gate, invites the viewer into the scene. The color intensity fades as one walks through the gate and off towards the foothills of the Rocky mountains. The Fall colors of the trees harmonize with the morning glow and brings a little chill to the morning air.

On   its way to Miles City 44th Annual live Auction for this September. Strathburn (Stephen Rathburn Artist ). It's late Winter/early Spring when the young cowboy checks on his investment. He thinks; " how lucky he is to be here this beautiful chilly morning and to have such a blessed life as a cowboy.  The life of a cowboy is hard but worth every determined minute when considering moments like this".  The Sunrise lights up the distant Rocky Mountains with fire but still leaves the left over night sky in the shadows of dawn. The days are long now but soon to get longer as the young mother's begin to bring forth their babies. Life is good!

A long awaited journey from the mind of Strathburn. These Cowboys are taking some Mustangs from freedom to their new home. They have already spent some time with some tender care and training of these beauties but the trip is still unpredictable. There's many more creeks to ford  before home is in sight. Although  once wild and free, these Mustangs will enjoy their new lives and work along side of their new loving masters.

Another Solo Stage Title By Strathburn (Stephen Rathburn Artist). To be on stage is an awesome feeling. Once the nerves have given way to enthusiasm, the juices begin to flow. The stage lights make it difficult to see the entire audience but the first few rows are enough.  It's always gratifying when you can see the audience beginning to engage with your program. It begins when you notice that they may be tapping their toes to the rhythm of your program. But, then it's up to your own enthusiasm to bring them from that tap of a toe to the sway of their emotions. 

I hope that you're tapping your toe to this interpretation of entertaining.
